Zack Lee (이진성 Lee Jin Sung) is a secondary character in Lookism. He is a student in the fashion department of J High School, as well as Mira’s love interest.

Zack’s height is rather tall, reaching at least 6 feet. As a result of his physical training, he has a sturdy, muscular physique, at one point reaching 220 lbs. [1] He has slick, gelled back black hair that is cut short on the sides, along with dark eyes, though his hair had been shaved off as a result of him getting into a fight after promising not to. After this incident, he started wearing a wig.
He has a very good fashion sense, paying attention to his looks when it comes to outshining his peers. He tends to wear gray scale colored brand clothing. On several occasions, he has worn earrings.
Zack has a serious resting face, with sharp glaring eyes, which in turn, easily intimidates those who look at him. He only occasionally smiles, and this typically takes place either when he is with Mira or when he is fighting someone of great strength and beating them.
Personality [ ]
Even prior to meeting Daniel, Zack was kind at heart despite his poor manners and extremely high imprudence. He had helped both Mira and Johan in many situations regarding their pasts, such as rushing Mira to the hospital [2] and saving Johan from bullies, but this kindness is pretty much reserved for those that are close to him. As shown in the Cult Arc, Zack was referred to as the strongest of his middle school. [3] This greatly boosted his ego which, when in conjunction with his very short and bad temper, was the reason for most, if not all, his fights and was also the reason for his violence towards the weak.
After meeting Daniel, Zack slowly changed in ways that he isn’t very attentive to, although other characters such as Mira Kim have. Under the circumstances of promising his love interest not to fight, he’s had to put a calm face towards those mocking him, and he learned the lives of how his own victims felt. He realized his immature empowerment actions were wrong, and began to stop bother those under him, [4] even being shown to be remorseful. [5] Peers commented on this behavior, although to Zack it just felt like a bother to waste time picking on others. He matured impressively in a short life span due to his tolerance.
Although he has become somewhat diplomatic, he will try to reason with people that attempt to bother him, preferring to avoid conflict. Regarding his treatment towards others, he will tell people off for unjust actions, but tries to manage it before it resorts to violence. He controls his temper and apologizes, even if nothing is his fault. This is because he doesn’t want to make Mira unhappy by having physical altercations with others, and results with others believing he’s weak-willed.
Zack has had a strong affection for Mira Kim ever since they were children. He cares for her deeply, and attempts to impress her without making a fool of himself. He gets exceedingly jealous when others flirt with her, he is always considering keeping Mira safe from others due to her bad memories of predators. Although this plays off to be a lap-dog trait, always doing everything Mira desires of him.
Despite the fact that Zack has developed into a person that truly wants to protect his friends, he is very hard on himself. He continues to blame himself for the fact that Jiho had attempted murder and that Jasmine ran away, although that’s not the true underlying case. In addition to this, he had worked his body hard and trained for countless hours every day to achieve his goals of being stronger than Daniel and Johan, wanting to beat their mysterious talents with his pure effort. Zack pursued defeating Daniel, [6] however Daniel awoke in ‘Ultra Instinct,’ showing his true capabilities, and Zack continued to look down on himself for not being strong enough to obtain a victory. [7]
After resuming training, Zack has shown himself to in complete subscription to boxing as not only a fighting style but fighting philosophy. The latter trait expressed with him taking 1 minute breaks after 3 minute intervals during his latest fight with Daniel Park (emulating the format of real boxing matches). In addition, he staunchly takes pride in his status as a boxer, calling himself a «professional» whom would not engage in street fights. Despite that, he states that if he is to engage in street fights he would do so not as a boxer aiming to win but as someone aiming to kill.
Background [ ]
His type of fighting style is a hit and run outboxer. [8] Having once enjoyed the bullying of the weak, Zack has since changed due to the influence of Mira, who he is in love with, and is now on good terms with both sides of Daniel Park.
Zack has known and liked Mira since childhood. He used to accompany her on various extracurricular activities, not out of his own interest but rather to spend more time with her. Mira was the one who introduced Zack to the world of boxing being one of the activities she was attending at the time.
At some point, he befriended Johan who was going to the same church he did when they were young. Zack wasn’t aware of Johan’s fighting potential until he saw him copying one of his boxing moves. [11] Zack knew Johan had feelings for Mira.

Fighting Prowess [ ]
Zack is a proficient out-boxer, having trained since childhood and is considered a formidable opponent by his peers due to his outstanding talent earning him achievements in numerous competitions. Zack’s out-boxing style is typical, relying heavily on speed to deliver quick combinations utilizing straight punches with little in the way of body blows. This fighting style effectively placing Zack in a position to attack and denying his opponents counter-attack. When pressed, Zack will normally use his footwork and head movement to evade.
When in a situation in which blocking is absolutely necessary, Zack has demonstrated an impressive understanding and application of the Philly Shell, a style popularized by Floyd Mayweather Jr.. This style is characterized by the usage of the shoulder roll, resulting in opponent’s punches being deflected and diffused off of the user’s round shoulder.
Only a handful of fighters can actually keep up with Zack and dodge his punches such as Daniel Park and Johan. As such, Zack’s speed has been used as a benchmark for other fighters. If the said opponent is on par with or surpasses Zack’s speed, they are considered threats not to be taken lightly which is a further testament to the danger Zack’s speed possesses.
However, as a result of Zack’s reliance on his speed, fighters that equal or surpass found themselves in a position much more favorable to victory.
However, Zack is not set in his style, having created counters to techniques used against him such as being able to respond to Daniel’s utilization of a body blow in Zack’s later fight with Logan Lee. Beyond skill, Zack has also demonstrated vast improvements to himself after resuming training, giving up his pride in exchange for grit and determination. On a mental level, this has given Zack greater endurance and resolve to see his strategies through such as enduring Daniel Park’s attacks to formulate his own counterattacks. On a physical level, this has resulted in Zack becoming immensely more powerful, stunning Johan and Daniel in a past fight with narration stating that he has the style and tendencies of an out-boxer but the power of a in-fighter.
However, despite Zack’s continual efforts to become stronger now, he held an inclination to not train in other styles, sticking only to boxing. Even when pressed to train in a mixed martial arts setting, he refused, and continued with boxing, despite his own coach’s admission that Zack has essentially mastered all of boxing’s techniques with any further advancement coming in the form of physical training. However, as of Chapter 352, Zack has begun to «discard his pride» and now utilizes dirty boxing, having used head-butts and pivot blows (spinning backfists). This could lead into a transition to other forms of martial arts.

Mira Kim (김미진 Kim Mi Jin) is a character in Lookism. She is a student in the fashion department of Jae Won High School, as well as Zack Lee’s love interest and one of Daniel’s friends.

Background [ ]
Lee Jin Sung, Johan Seong and Mira had known each other since they were little. The two boys had been in love with her ever since they were young, but Mi Jin never seemed to directly reciprocate.
Mi Jin had met Johan in a church she used to attend regularly and thus they became friends. She is still somewhat religious, as she prayed before a meal during lunch. [1]
She seems to come from a well off family.
Appearance [ ]
Mira is a teenage girl who is considered to be very beautiful by many of the other characters. She has auburn colored hair with a fringe, coupled with large, dark eyes. Mira has a slim figure, a lower than average stature, and pale skin.
In many chapters, she is shown wearing her school uniform; but when she is not wearing her school uniform, she tends to wear nice and fashionable clothes, which sometimes tend to be pink.
Mira used to wear her hair in two braids in the earlier chapters but later changed her signature hairstyle into a bun.
Personality [ ]
She dislikes fighting and believes there are better ways to solve problems. As she gets upset when Jin Sung gets into fights, she is part of the reason why Jin Sung has stopped acting aggressively.
She is kind, caring and helpful. She is also very observant, as can be seen when she noticed that Jin Sung was getting repeatedly upset in the Sports Day as he could not beat Daniel in any of the events. She enjoys studying in the library.
Mira is also very innocent and someone who does not judge people quickly. She has a habit of repeatedly giving people chances, which is shown when she still trusted Jasmine Huh even after she framed Vasco.

Johan’s hair is styled into a brown mullet, with bangs barely covering his eyes. His eye color is black; however, it has been noted after the God Dog arc that his right eye has started to turn gray, signifying his growing blindness. Johan has a lean and slender physique; when he cross dressed, he was said to have nice hips. [1]
His attire once consisted of a black hoodie with the God Dog logo on the back, but ever since the disbanding of the group, he is usually seen wearing dark clothing, boots, and a cap. In the past, he wore two wish bracelets, one to wish for his mother’s eyesight to get better and the other to wish that he’d be able take care of Mira forever, but gave them both up after the Cult and God Dog arcs.
He has been referred to as handsome and hot, implying he is quite attractive.
Personality [ ]
Johan is first introduced as a timid child in love with Mira, his friend; similar to his other friend, Zack Lee. He was shown to care more for others than for himself, allowing himself to get beaten up by bullies to avoid getting in trouble for the sake of his mother. When he was younger, he was very obedient and cared dearly about his mother and Mira. He was also very faithful to his religion.
During his middle school years, Johan had low self esteem and thought of himself as a loser, ostracizing himself from his only friends, Mira and Zack. He overcame his jealousy by beating Zack in the boxing championship, only to completely disappear from their lives soon after.
After the incident with the cult, Johan turns more reserved and cold. He has a bitter view of the world and believes power is the most important thing. He cannot stand optimistic characters like Vasco who have a bright worldview, and he takes defeat to such characters personally. However, it is implied by Vasco that the reason he is so cold is because he is lonely and is afraid to trust in others. [1]
Although Johan claims that his only family are his dogs, Eden and Miro, it’s implied he still cares about his mother. This is seen when he continued to go back to her hair salon, despite her deteriorating vision meaning he never got a good haircut. Which also caused her to continually think he was Zack instead. Also the fact that he formed a crew to pay for his mothers cornea transplant.
Background [ ]
Johan grew up with his mother in a poor neighborhood; his father is never seen, though he was told by his mother he’s in the US, it’s later revealed his mother is a widow. He knew Zack and Mira because they all attended the same church, and he had faith in God until his life went downhill.
Johan’s mother supported Johan by working as a hair stylist in her own hair salon, but she lost many customers due to her growing blindness. She told Johan to behave in school because life was getting more difficult for them, and Johan grew resentful of how the other kids could act out of line without consequences while he had to worry about his behavior because of his mother.
After he saved his mother from the cult, he disappeared to collect money for a cornea transplant to restore his mother’s sight. Johan became infamous for stealing the shoes of people he fought (presumably selling them afterwards for money), an idea given in passing by Samuel Seo during his time at Big Deal. Even after he collected all the money, his mother couldn’t get the treatment because she was on a long waiting list. When Johan hears that Gun can save his mother, he trains under Gun to become his successor and is given the task of uniting the four crews.
Johan created his crew, God Dog, after dropping out of middle school. He took over Jin Jang’s old gang and conquered many other gangs in Gangbuk. He wanted to take over Gangdong, but lost in a fight to Hostel’s Eli Jang. As a result, he was forced to give up the region to Hostel.
Johan used his raw talent to further his crew’s money making ability, but after repeated involvement with the members of J High School, his defeat to Gun and betrayal of Jin Jang he became the only God Dog; however, Johan and many other stated that he was the only God Dog from the start. The majority of God Dog was absorbed by Big Deal, leaving Johan to continue collecting money for his mother’s treatment on his own.
Fighting Prowess [ ]
Johan is a member of the fearsome Big 4 Crew and is the leader of one of its main 4 Crews, The God Dog Crew. Jace has stated that Johan, unlike the other crews, never needed a right-hand man or extra muscle to back him up. [1] Johan’s true potential was always held back because he did not want to cause trouble for his mom by fighting. However, he finally decided to reach his fighting potential in order to save his mom from being stoned to death during the Cult arc.
Much like Daniel Park, Johan is the only other character in the series thus far who has been shown to be able to execute a technique perfectly just by having seen it once. This is shown when Johan mastered Zack’s jabs just by seeing it in action once. A few years later he would use that very technique to save his mom’s life, by jabbing stones thrown at her before they hit her. However, unlike Daniel, he seems to stick with the first fighting style he learned (boxing from Zack) and has only improved upon it, whereas Daniel switches between various fighting styles to better suit himself in a fight.
Ever since his defeat at the hands of Gun, Johan has increased his physicality to the point where he could overpower Seth Lee in a contest of strength (someone who can bend metal rods with his thumb) while copying Vasco. He has also managed to copy Jake Kim’s MMA flip, which he used on Goo.
Despite these advances, Johan’s eyes have degraded to some extent as well, whilst this doesn’t cause a dramatic reduction in his fighting abilities. This led to him missing an attack on Zack Lee.
