Масса нетто (итал. netto — «чистый») — масса продукции без упаковки (тары) и вспомогательных упаковочных средств.
Масса брутто (итал. brutto — «плохой») — общая масса упаковки (тары) и продукции в ней.
Не совсем корректно говорить «вес нетто» и «вес брутто», так как под этими значениями подразумевается именно масса. А вес, как известно, это сила.
Термины «нетто» и «брутто» являются универсальными и применяются не только к массе груза, но и при измерении любых других величин. Например, объема или зарплаты.

ГОСТ 17527-2014 определяет типы тары и упаковки, дает определение маркировкам, ярлыкам и биркам, а также содержит нормативные ссылки на стандарты по средствам пакетирования, грузовым контейнерам, упаковке опасных грузов и укупорочным средствам.

Расчет массы нетто и брутто
Математический метод
Тут все очень просто и элементарно. Известно 2 величины, находим третью.
масса Брутто = масса Нетто + масса Тары
масса Нетто = масса Брутто – масса Тары
масса Тары = масса Брутто – масса Нетто
Определение массы сырья нетто и брутто расчетным способом
К качеству сырья тоже применимы термины брутто и нетто, которые обозначают содержание отходов и полезного продукта. Если невозможно отделить брутто и нетто до использования продукта, то используются расчетные данные и таблицы соотношений массы пропорций.
Этот способ широко используется в кулинарии, при заготовке продуктов с учетом меню предприятий общественного питания, а также формы обслуживания, количества посетителей, способов механической обработки сырья, рецептуры приготовления пищи.
При этом необходимо руководствоваться рецептурой или методикой расчета отходов пищевой продукции, которая регламентирована соответствующими ГОСТами.

Современные электронные весы способны учитывать вес тары в любом режиме:
Задание массы тары с клавиатуры
Масса тары задается перед взвешиванием с клавиатуры. Этот режим подходит для взвешивания продукта в однородной таре, например бутылках, тюбиках, банках.
Взвешивание тары
Тара взвешивается перед ее применением. При этом весы могут показывать одновременно массу тары и массу груза. Данный режим применяется для поочередного взвешивания партий в одной таре, либо для взвешивания каждой тары и каждой партии индивидуально.
Многократное тарирование
Позволяет учитывать вес нескольких тар при взвешивании груза.
Оценочный знак массы e
На упаковке, рядом с массой нетто, часто можно встретить символ e. Полная маркировка этого знака расшифровывается как e-mark или quantité estimée, что означает оценочное количество.
Символ е является манипуляционным знаком и указывает на то, что количество товара соответствует директиве Европейского союза 76/211/EEC, которая определяет максимальные допуски погрешности массы продукта.
Оценочный знак е указывает на то, что:
средняя масса продукта в партии расфасовки не может быть меньше номинального количества, указанного на этикетке (массы нетто)
доля отдельных упаковок, имеющих отрицательную погрешность, которая превышает допустимую отрицательную, должна быть объективно мала для того, чтобы партии упаковок удовлетворяли требованиям метрологических испытаний, предусмотренных законодательством
ни одна из упаковок не имеет отрицательной погрешности, превышающей в два раза допустимую отрицательную погрешность
Символ выглядит как стилизованная английская строчная буква Е, а его форма знака точно определена директивой Европейского Союза 2009/34/EC. Он должен быть помещен в то же поле зрения, что и номинальное количество (количество товара, указанное на упаковке, согласно ГОСТ 8.579-2019).

Масса нетто на упаковке имеет маркировку:
Во всех этих случаях рядом может располагаться оценочный знак e. А может и не располагаться.
Наряду с массой нетто может указываться объем нетто, если данная величина способна полностью характеризовать продукцию.
Маркировка массы брутто
Масса брутто не имеет отдельного обозначения и не указывается по умолчанию, как масса нетто. При ее обозначении используются термины брутто и/или brutto.
Обычно вес брутто, если он указывается вообще, располагается на маркировке товара рядом с массой нетто.
Объем брутто в этом случае очень часто указывается вместе с объемом или массой нетто.
